Antique, Heirloom & Specialty Furniture Restoration

Antique chairs, heirloom pieces and one-of-a-kind furniture need more care than a standard reupholstery job. UpholsteryLink routes specialty restoration requests to approved professionals, and each piece is reviewed individually.

Pieces reviewed for restoration

  • Antique chairs and settees

Antique furniture reupholstery for chairs, settees and benches.

  • Heirloom pieces

Family furniture worth keeping in use, recovered with care for the frame.

  • Vintage furniture

Mid-century and vintage pieces recovered in keeping with their design.

  • One-of-a-kind and unusual items

Pieces that don’t fit a standard category — reviewed from photos first.

Before you request

Will the piece be reviewed first?
Yes. Specialty work is reviewed individually from photos and your description before a vendor takes it on.
Can the original style be kept?
That’s usually the aim. Say what matters most — the original fabric pattern, the tufting, the period look — and include photos.
What about the wood frame or finish?
Upholstery work focuses on the seat, back and covering. Mention any frame or finish concerns; whether they can be addressed depends on the vendor.
What helps most?
Photos from several angles, close-ups of wear and any labels, and a short history of the piece if you know it.
