Automotive Upholstery & Interior Restoration

From a torn driver’s seat to a complete interior, vehicle upholstery takes daily wear, sun and heat. UpholsteryLink routes automotive upholstery requests — for cars, trucks and classic vehicles — to approved upholstery professionals who take them on.

What automotive upholstery can include

  • Car seat upholstery and repair

Recovering seats, or repairing torn bolsters, split seams and worn panels.

  • Headliners

Replacing a sagging or stained headliner.

  • Door panels and armrests

Recovering door inserts, armrests and console lids.

  • Full interiors

Seats, door panels and headliner done together, to a consistent look.

  • Classic and restoration interiors

Interiors for older vehicles, including matching the original look where materials allow.

  • Truck and utility seats

Bench and bucket seats for trucks and work vehicles.

Common questions

Can the original look be matched?
Often closely, depending on the materials available for that vehicle. Say in the request whether matching the original matters, and include photos of the seat patterns and stitching.
Leather, vinyl or fabric?
Each wears and cleans differently. The vendor recommends materials for how the vehicle is used; mention any preference.
Is it one seat or the whole interior?
Either. A single damaged seat panel can often be repaired; a full interior is quoted as one project.
What should I send?
Year, make and model, photos of each area (a full view and close-ups of damage), and whether the vehicle is a daily driver or a restoration.
