Vehicles and fleets

Fleet upholstery is commercial work: vehicles that are used every day and need to stay in service.

Fleet vehicles

  • Company vehicles
  • Work trucks
  • Service vehicles
  • Utility vehicles
  • Delivery vehicles
  • Commercial vans
  • Shuttle vehicles
  • Refuse and sanitation vehicles

Organizations

  • Businesses with company vehicles
  • Fleet operators and fleet managers
  • Municipal and government fleets
  • Transportation and shuttle operators
  • Utility and service contractors
  • Property and facility operations

Fleet seating and interior surfaces

Each request is quoted after UpholsteryLink reviews the photos and vehicle details.

  • Driver and passenger seat repair

Tears, split seams and worn panels repaired without recovering the whole seat, where that’s enough.

  • Seat upholstery replacement

New upholstery for seats that are worn throughout, including bucket, bench and crew-cab rear seats.

  • Headliners

    Sagging or stained headliners replaced.

  • Door panels and interior panels

Upholstered and trimmed panels recovered or repaired.

  • Flooring and other interior surfaces

Upholstered and interior surfaces where appropriate; reviewed case by case.

By vehicle type

Work truck interiors

  • Driver seats, which usually wear first at the entry-side bolster
  • Bench and crew-cab seats
  • Headliners and door panels
  • Durable vinyls that handle dust and work clothes

Commercial vans

  • Driver and passenger seats in cargo vans
  • Rear bench seating in passenger vans
  • Interior panels and headliners
  • One material standard across every van

Municipal and government fleets

  • Public works, parks and agency vehicles
  • Consistent materials across departments
  • Any documentation or procurement requirements can be stated in the request; what can be provided is confirmed after review

Shuttle and transportation vehicles

  • Passenger seating in shuttles and small buses
  • Driver seats
  • Cleanable, durable materials
  • Work scheduled around routes and service hours

High-use vehicle interiors

  • Wear patterns

In vehicles used every day, the driver seat usually wears first, at the side bolster and seat edge from getting in and out.

  • Materials for heavy use

Commercial-grade vinyls and fabrics are typically chosen for durability and easy cleaning. Material is chosen with you before work starts.

  • Cleanability

For shuttles and passenger vehicles, cleanable surfaces often matter as much as appearance.

Repair versus replacement

When does a repair make sense?
A single tear, split seam or worn panel can often be repaired without recovering the whole seat.
When is replacing the seat upholstery the better option?
When the covering is worn throughout, several panels are damaged or the foam has broken down, replacing the upholstery is usually more practical. The recommendation is made after reviewing photos.
Can the original look be matched?
Say whether matching the factory appearance matters. Material and color matching is confirmed after review.

Multi-vehicle projects

One request can cover a whole fleet.

  1. List the vehicles by type, year, make and model, with the seats that need work.

  2. Say how many vehicles can be out of service at once, so the work can be phased.

  3. Note where the vehicles are kept and whether on-site work or pickup is preferred; availability is confirmed after review.

  4. Photos of a representative vehicle plus any damaged seats are enough to start.

Ongoing fleet upholstery needs

  • Requests as vehicles need attention

Fleets with ongoing needs can send a request whenever vehicles need work; each request is reviewed and quoted on its own.

  • Consistent standards

Keep a note of the materials and colors used so later work matches the rest of the fleet.

  • Vehicle types, years, makes and models
  • Number of vehicles and seats

  • How many vehicles can be out of service at once
  • Where vehicles are kept; on-site or pickup preference

Upload a few photos and tell us what you’d like done. You don’t need to know the upholstery terminology.

Photos (recommended)

The whole piece, a close-up of the problem area, and anything else useful. Optional. Up to 12 images, 15 MB each.

In your own words — e.g. “Six restaurant booths with cracked vinyl” or “My boat needs new seats and a Bimini top.”
