Custom Golf Cart Upholstery & Seat Recovering

Golf cart seats spend their lives outdoors, in sun, rain and constant use. UpholsteryLink takes golf cart upholstery requests — from recovering the seats on one cart to consistent upholstery across a fleet — and routes them to approved upholstery professionals who do custom fabrication work.

For one cart or a whole fleet

Individual golf cart owners

For your own cart, whether the seats are worn out or you want a different look.

  • Worn, cracked or faded seats
  • Complete golf cart seat recovering
  • Seat backs and bottom cushions
  • Replacement foam or cushion work when the old foam has broken down
  • Custom colors and material combinations
  • Appearance upgrades, such as contrast piping or two-tone seats
  • Outdoor-rated, durable upholstery materials

Commercial & fleet golf carts

For organizations that keep carts in daily service.

  • Golf courses and clubs
  • Resorts, hotels and hospitality properties
  • Retirement and managed communities
  • Property and facility operations
  • Event venues
  • Any organization operating multiple carts
  • Consistent upholstery across a fleet
  • Phased work, so carts aren’t all out of service at the same time

What the work can include

Each request is quoted by the approved vendor who takes it on, after seeing photos and details.

  • Seat recovering and reupholstery

New upholstery on the existing seat base and back — the most common golf cart seat work.

  • Golf cart seat repair

Tears, split seams and localized damage, where full recovering isn’t needed.

  • Cushions and foam

Replacing foam that has flattened or absorbed water, or rebuilding cushions, when applicable.

  • Custom golf cart seats

Custom colors, material combinations and stitching details chosen for your cart or your fleet.

  • Enclosures and covers

Can be requested. Whether they’re offered depends on the approved vendors serving your area; we’ll tell you if not.

Materials for outdoor use

  • Built for sun and moisture

Golf cart seats are usually recovered in outdoor-rated or marine-grade vinyl, which is made to handle UV exposure, rain and cleaning.

  • Chosen with the vendor

The vendor recommends specific materials and colors for how the cart is used and stored. Bring a color preference or a sample if you have one.

Planning fleet golf cart upholstery

Fleet requests are organized around keeping carts available.

  1. One request can cover several locations and the whole fleet, with the number of carts and seats.

  2. Say whether carts can be serviced in phases and how many can be out at once.

  3. Note any material or color standard the fleet should match.

  4. Photos of a representative cart, plus any damaged seats, are enough to start.

Where requests are accepted

No approved vendor currently covers custom fabrication work. You can still submit a request; UpholsteryLink will review vendor coverage before assigning it, and will tell you if no approved vendor can take it on.
